RV Trader Announces Launch of New Mobile Site

RV Trader has released a mobile site that puts more than 60,000 new and used RVs at shoppers’ fingertips. The new RV Trader mobile site is located at m.rvtraderonline.com.

The new RV Trader mobile site allows shoppers to quickly find nearby RVs for sale and RV dealerships. The search tool allows users to search for RVs by type, manufacturer, year, price and keyword. Users can also search for RV dealers and have the option to include a manufacturer in their search which will only return dealers who carry RVs made by that manufacturer. All searches are based on the user’s zip code.

“We are so excited to provide consumers with an additional way to search the largest database of RVs for sale. RV Trader’s iPhone application already received over 5,500 downloads, a product we just launched a few months ago, but with our new mobile site everyone will have over 60,000 RVs at their fingertips,” stated Tim Custer, General Manager of RV Trader.

Once an RV search is completed on the RV Trader mobile site users can then view a detailed description, photos of the RVs for sale, and email the seller or call immediately from their phone. When searching for dealerships users can choose to sort results by distance or by dealership name. The RV Trader mobile site also offers dealership contact options and links to view dealerships’ websites. RVTraderOnline.com Trends Toward Another Successful Year

RVTraderOnline.com is trending toward another successful year, while competitors still have to rebound. According to Omniture Site Catalyst, in January and February 2010, RVTraderOnline.com averaged over 1,200,000 unique visitors, this is an 11% increase compared to the same time last year.

Hard leads; email and phone, saw an increase of 15% in January and February 2010 compared to the same time last year. Other online classifieds sites are entering a rebounding year in 2010, having decreased traffic and generating less leads in 2009. RVTraderOnline.com is not faced with this issue and is driving better results to its private party sellers and dealers year over year. In 2009 RVTraderOnline.com received 55% more traffic than its closest competitor, RVS.com; and 112% more traffic than RVT.com, according to comScore.

In January and February 2010 RVTraderOnline.com received 166% more unique traffic than its closest competitor, RVs.com; and 269% more unique visitors than RVT.com Many of you may be asking why RVTraderOnline.com uses comScore and Omniture Site Catalyst in its analytics. comScore is similar to Nielsen’s, a third party reporting tool that uses a sample audience to determine visitor traffic to websites worldwide, putting all websites on an even playing field.

RVTraderOnline.com has its own internal analytics tool, Omniture Site Catalyst, while our competitors may use another analytics provider. We do not have access to our competitors’ analytics just as they don’t have access to ours. So, in order to capture unbiased traffic rankings we use comScore to show dealers and advertisers how we compare to other RV classified sites. It is the online industry’s standard source for visitor traffic and rankings.

RV Trader has released an iPhone application that puts more than 45,000 new and used RVs at shoppers’ fingertips. The free RV Trader application can be downloaded from the lifestyle section of the iTunes Store by searching the key phrase “RV Trader.”

The new RV Trader iPhone app is GPS-sensitive, allowing RV shoppers to quickly find nearby RVs for sale. The search tool allows users to search for RVs by type, new or used condition, price range, and model year in a specific zip code or by location. The application also saves the user’s recent searches and vehicles viewed to make finding RVs even easier.

The RV Trader application lets users view multiple RV and dealer locations on enhanced Google maps and quickly access driving directions. Each RV listing provides a detailed description along with multiple photos of the RV for sale. YouTube and manufacturer videos appear on select listings.

When shoppers have found the perfect RV they can save the RV listing to their wish list, call or e-mail the RV seller, map out directions to the RV, or send the RV to a friend.

RV Dealers easily Combine Online And Print Advertising With RVTraderOnline.com’s Direct Publishing Feature

RVTraderOnline.com, the Web site of RV Trader magazine and a division of Dominion Enterprises, now offers dealer advertisers the option to directly publish their online classified listings in participating RV Trader magazines throughout the country.

Adding print advertising is just a few clicks away. RV dealers simply log on to their RV Trader Inventory Management Tool, provided free of charge to all RVTraderOnline.com dealer advertisers, and click on the Add Magazines tab.

After selecting which RVs from their online inventory they wish to publish in RV Trader magazine, they select the magazines they wish to publish in by market. Dealers also have options to advertise all their inventory in print or advertise in all RV Trader magazines with just one click.

RVTraderOnline.com now offers RV dealers an “RV Clip” advertising option for each of their advertised RVs on RVTraderOnline.com.

An RV Clip is an animated slide show accompanied by spoken text and music. Each clip features photographs of the RV for sale, panned over for a video-like effect. A voice-over describes the RV’s features, its location and selling price, all set to upbeat background music.

RV Clips are automatically generated on RVTraderOnline.com with no hassle to the dealer. RV dealers do have the option to let RV Trader’s data fields automatically create the spoken text or they can customize the spoken text themselves at no additional cost.

“We are always looking for new opportunities for dealers to advertise their RVs and to provide a better user experience for RV buyers. With the ‘RV Clips’ we are able to do both,” commented Tim Custer, RV Trader general manager.

Current RV dealers on RVTraderonline.com receive a complimentary 30-day trial of RV Clips. Dealers can incorporate the clips along side the photo gallery already in place.

According to a study by the Online Publishers Association, after viewing video ads, 31 percent of consumers visit the company’s website, 52 percent of consumers take an action after viewing a video ad and 16 percent of consumers who view video ads make a purchase.
